surrogates

05.10.09 since the lights went out from 2 p.m. and until 6 p.m. the lights weren't on, my family decided to went to puri mall. my grandma didn't come with us because she didn't want to. =.= and then we saw surrogates at the XXI.

in the near future, humans live in isolation and only interact through robotic bodies that serve as surrogates. when several humans are murdered when their surrogates are destroyed, a cop (Bruce Willis) investigates the crimes through his own surrogate. after a near fatal encounter, the cop's surrogate is destroyed and forces him to bring his human form out of isolation and unravel a conspiracy behind the crimes.

i thought the movie was.. different. the idea, the concept. it was great but i thought the story was too complicated. i enjoyed the action and the computer animations, but i didn't understand the story much :(
so i could only give it  4/5 stars.

and i bought the rubik's cube! :D finally! but i didn't bought the original one. i bought the one which was cheaper but it turned out nice! i can turn the sides easily :p

batik day!

my school told the students to wear ' batik ' on October 2nd to celebrate the inauguration of Indonesian Batik as one of the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. so the day before, my mom, my little brother, and me went to puri mall to buy ' batik ' at keris gallery. i met verena, jesslyn, and Mrs. Fanny there. Mrs. Fanny is my teacher who teaches my country's language, Bahasa Indonesia when i was in grade 8.  [:  they were looking for batik too! but i couldn't find one :(  and since my mom couldn't stand the crowd so we had to get out of the store. my mom said that i could wear her batik. *why didn't you tell me, mom? so we didn't have to go there -.- * and then as usual, my little brother wanted to eat at bakmi gajah mada and my mother agreed with him. my little brother and me ate chicken noodle and my mom ate dumplings. for my big brother ,who was at home, my mom bought him meatball noodle and dumplings. before we went home, i told my mom that i wanted to buy j.cool. my mom was so excited that she wanted to buy the large one. *woot* but since it was already late, my mom decided to buy the small one with oranges for the topping :D

and i just realized that the tables and the tissues were very unique! :D

- the day!

so i wore my mom's batik and seriously i thought it looked funny! XD everyone wore batik except the ones that didn't have it *how could you didn't have batik? batik is our cultural heritage!*  and through the day, we were given seminar about global warming and how to get a great memory. it was scary to know that we could die in 2012 because of the metane in the rivers and seas all over the world! i really wanted to photograph my friend's batik that were awesome! but i couldn't because if i did, my teacher would seize my handphone. i really loved lisa's batik skirt and sekar's batik shirt. :)  here's my batik.

hope next year we will wear batik again! batik is like a patterned cloth. there are many types of batik in Indonesia. i hope Indonesian people will continue to preserve batik :D

pasaraya grande and fx

last sunday 27.09.09, i went to pasaraya grande with my parents and my little brother. initially we went there to buy a shoe for me to wear in my cousin's wedding. but it turned out to be a shopping spree! lol :D my mom and me kept buying and buying and BUYING stuff! my dad and my little brother *of course* also followed the shopping spree. and the end of our shopping spree, our legs became sore! :(

here's what i managed to buy :p

• last but not least : the shoe itself! gold flat shoes  'marie claire'

but the spree was't over yet! my mom wanted to go to fx, so off we go to fx. it was so cool! the stores were awesome but the price was so expensive =_______= but i managed to buy something with my own money. this cute thing!

i saw shoes, clothes, toys {?}, bags, etc. but as i said before there were all very VERY expensive! zzz for dinner, we ate at 'mangkok putih'  and i ate spaghetti bolognese which was really yummy :p but when i saw the bill, i was shocked! it was idR 52.000! so SO expensive =___________= after we finished our dinner, me and my little brother wanted to ride the atmostfear, which was a big slide. to read the story, click here
